See-Thru – Mirror sheets

SEE THRU sheets allow you to see what is happening behind the sheet without being seen, provided you are on the darker side. That is why they are used successfully in monitoring and surveillance operations in shops, psychiatric or correctional institutions, hospitals and casinos.

There are mirror-like extruded sheets that allow half of the incident light rays to pass through the sheet, and the other half of the light rays to be reflected. This special feature is possible by inserting a semi-transparent aluminum film inside an ordinary acrylic sheet. This operation is done directly in the extrusion process of the sheet.

Due to the unique properties of the sheet, SEE THRU looks like a mirror when viewed from the brighter side and looks like a regular window when viewed from the darker side. If the sheet is in an area with equal light on both sides, the sheet becomes semi-transparent.

SEE THRU is mainly used for creating unique effects in the advertising industry or in making theater and television sets.

This material can be used in creating “hidden lighted advertising signs”. The front of the advertisement is made of SEE THRU, and the actual slogan can appear or disappear, depending on the appearance or disappearance of the light. The object created looks like an ordinary mirror in the absence of light and as a lighted advertising sign on the appearance of the light.

The standard thickness of sheets are 3 mm and 6 mm.
The standard size of the sheets is 1220×2440 mm

SEE THRU sheets can be processed with woodworking machinery.

SEE THRU allows the following operations: cutting, welding, gluing, finishing (sealing the cut edges), drilling, bending, printing, varnishing, polishing with textile cloth or assembling.
