Natural PE 100/PE-HD sheets are white colored polyethylene sheets, the natural color of polyethylene, and belong to the group of high-density polyethylene sheets PE300. This means that the sheets have a specific density greater than 0.94 g/cm3 and a molecular weight of approximately 300,000 g/mol.

The wide range of temperatures it withstands (between -50°C and +80°C) and the certification for food contact make natural PE 100/PE-HD sheets one of the usual products used to make worktables in bakeries, worktops in butcheries or pizzerias, various applications in cold rooms, etc. However, in many of these applications we recommend the use of PE 500 sheets, which have better wear resistance, even in low temperature conditions.
Due to the high chemical resistance, natural PE 100/PE-HD sheets cannot be glued with any adhesive currently on the market. Therefore, the construction of different products is done by welding the sheets, an operation that is done with special equipment for welding plastics.

Natural PE 100/PE-HD sheets are not protected from UV rays and therefore it is recommended to use them only in indoor applications.

Standard sizes

Semi-finished products of natural PE 100 can be delivered in the form of sheets and welding electrodes and of natural PE-HD in the form of sheets and bars. Natural PE100/PE-HD sheets can be produced by two distinct processes: by pressing or by extrusion. Depending on the process of obtaining the sheets, they can be produced in different thicknesses and sizes.

Extruded natural PE-HD sheets are available in thicknesses between 1 and 5 mm, and the standard delivery dimensions are 1000 × 2000 mm, 1500 × 3000 mm or 2000 × 4000 mm.

Extruded sheets of natural PE 100 are delivered with thicknesses between 6 mm and 30 mm, and the standard delivery dimensions are 1000 × 2000 mm, 1500 × 3000 mm or 2000 × 4000 mm.

The pressed sheets made of natural PE-HD are delivered with thicknesses between 10 mm and 150 mm, and the delivery dimensions are 1000 × 2000 mm or 2010 × 4120 mm.

Thickness tolerance of natural PE 100 / PE-HD sheets
Extruded PE 100 / PE-HD sheets have a thickness tolerance of ± (0.08 mm + 0.03 x sheet thickness).
A 5 mm thick sheet has tolerances of ± 0.23 mm.
A 10 mm thick sheet has tolerances of ± 0.38 mm.

Naturally pressed PE 100 / PE-HD boards have the following thickness tolerances:
Sheets with thicknesses of 10 – 20 mm have tolerances of 0 / + 3 mm
Sheets with thicknesses of 21 – 40 mm have tolerances of 0 / + 5 mm
Sheets with thicknesses of 41 – 60 mm have tolerances of 0 / + 6 mm
Sheets with thicknesses of 61 – 80 mm have tolerances of 0 / + 8 mm
Sheets with thicknesses of 81 – 100 mm have tolerances of 0 / + 10 mm
Sheets with thicknesses of 101 – 120 mm have tolerances of 0 / + 12 mm
Sheets with thicknesses of 121 – 150 mm have tolerances of 0 / + 14 mm
